A Mini Alex Day Fanfic

I’m running sooo late!

I pull out my phone, my converse pounding the floor as I run. “Hey, Chlo it’s me. I’m literally just round the corner, just delay them a minute!” I hang up on Chloe. She and her daughter Macy are at The Who Shop waiting for me, I’ve got five minutes before we have to go in and it’ll only take about 2 minutes to run there.

“hey guys, I’m here” Macy hugs my legs and I put a hand on her hair, out of breath

“Hey Cara, what happened to you?” I explain how I’d forgotten my Chameleon Circuit CD and poster, after all, we are meeting them today!

We walk in the room and instantly a pair of hazel eyes grab my attention “Hi, I do believe we haven’t met. I’m Alex, and you are…?” he hols his arms out for a hug

“I’m Cara” I laugh as he releases me, his charm went for 1 to 10 and it was working!

“So Cara, you single?” he winks at me, I laugh 

“Maybe, maybe not!” I wink back at him “how about you? anyone special in your life?”

“Maybe, maybe not!” he imitates me “No, i’m single, but you could change that!” I blush and he smirks “You’re even cuter when you blush” form behind me i see liam

“get a room you two!” he mutters, I turn to face him, smiling

“we have a room, but you lot are in it!” Alex laughs as the photographer walks in

i say goodbye to Alex and the boys, promising to see them later

We eat in McDonalds, it also involves Macy slobbering on my arm. I decide to be a bit immature, after all, i am me!

I get two chips and begin my walrus imitation!

I flick a chip at chloe to get her attention, she retaliates and I turn around only to be met with a bunch of boys laughing at me, i feel my cheeks turn a light shade of pink. Chloe passed me a napkin and gestured to the sauce around my face

“Seriously? You’re meant to be a mature adult! not a little kid!” Chloe fake scalded so I pretended to pout.

“There;s nothing wrong with acting like a child! It means you can have fun sometimes!” I flicked yet another chip at her, beginning the war. that is, until, Macy throws a chicken nugget at me and I catch it! I pump my fist and high-five Chloe.

Chloe mumbled something “S’cuse me? i don’t speak mumble!”

“IT’S 3:25 AND OUR APPOINTMENT IS AT 3:30!” Chloe begins to run out the shop

“Bye! see ya soon sweetcheeks!” Chloe turns around and the mystery boy winks

“okay, he is definatly one of your friends!” I sing, teasing Chloe

“no, he definitely knows you!”

We’re running for al we’re worth, I’m running so fast that I don’t actually notice where I’m going. or the shoelace I forgot to do up…

“this is how i die!” I think to myself before I feel a pair of arms grab me by the waist

“Well, hello there! Where’ve you been hiding? we were just about to send a search party to find you!” his charm is completely turned up and it is definitely working!

“Uuuhhh….” BRAIN! NOT NOW! not when I’m talking to Alex-Freaking-Day!

“so, you’re nervous too?” Alex’s arms are still wrapped around me,despite the fact I’m upright and steady now. Looking into those eyes though I could just melt.

“Y-Yeah, slightly!” I laugh, looking down at the floor slightly, Alex tilts my head back up

“Don’t be! We don’t bite!” He pretends to bite my arm, I feign pain

“Aright mate, stop acting like a vampire! and by the way, I don’t think Cara’s falling any more!” Ed winks at Alex, who blushes and releases me, I’m disappointed!

“Sorry about that!” He doesn’t meet my eyes

“It’s fine, to be honest, I actually liked it…” i look up from the floor shyly, to be met with a very happy looking Alex Day! “There’s just something about you…” I trail off, looking into his eyes

He’s about to say something and he leans in slightly. then Liam ruins it by jumping in between us, running from Macy who’s wearing his goggles.

“Cara?” Alex asks, shaking my shoulder slightly, I feel a spark of electric.

“Alex?” He looks me in the eyes…

Chapter 2

Chapter 2

“D-Do you want my number?” he stutters slightly which makes him look even more adorable

“Please!” I laugh and feel myself blush. I put his number into my phone and we begin to talk again, realising we’ve drifted away from the others slightly. we’re all still stood outside on the pavement, not yet gone inside to have our merchandise signed. “should we move back closer?”

Alex shakes his head and looks back at me “Nah, I’m pretty happy over here!” I laugh and the chatter begins again. I see Charlie tug Chloes hand and I realise I have  to tell her!

I give Alex and Charlie the ‘one second!’ signal and they look confused.

“Ohmygoodgod. you two just had a moment. it was so darn cute. I have Alex’s number. ALEX-FREAKIN’-DAY’S NUMBER!” I yelled, probably too loudly. I knew I must’ve been grinning like a loon because Chloe chuckled and pulled into a hug. I needed to remain calm so I pretended to be an actor and waved my hand down my face. “Okay, I’m calm. You ready?” I linked our arms and she nodded.

About an hour later we we stood outside and saying goodbye. the thought of not seeing Alex again really made me sad. I gave Ed a hug “You and Alex are such a couple!” I pull away from the hug and laugh

“What!? as if!” Ed raises an eyebrow at me “No! Alex couldn’t like me!” secretly I’m thrilled! I feel a blush creep to my cheeks as Ed releases me. I turn and see Alex looking lonely. I walk over to Chloe and Macy, locking eyes with Alex

“Guys, we don’t have to be saying goodbye right now. Why not say goodbye later? Why not hang out for a few hours?” Relief flooded through me, more time with the boys and Alex! 

Chloe went to talk to Charlie and I began chatting to Liam who was stood beside me holding Macy. Alex appeared and Liam winked at me then wandered off.

“You’re beautiful” that’s all he said to me. I kissed his cheek and he pulled me into a hug that made me never want to let go. I felt a tug on my shoulder and I knew it was Chloe as Macy began pulling on my leg. I really didn’t want to leave

I heard Chloe say something to Alex but I wasn’t listening “Chloe’s a meanie!” He laughed, releasing me. I burst out laughing.

I gave him a final hug and we began to walk to my house

-Ed’s POV-

I looked at Alex who was still blushing, he was watching Cara and Chloe walk off.

“You really like her don’t you!” I raised my eyebrow as he stuttered.

“W-what do you mean?” Alex stutterted, Liam and Charlie laughed

“Alex, the last time I saw you blush like that was…” Charlie looked thoughtful as we walked “Urm, actually I can’t recall seeing you like this before! you blush every time you see her! let alone speak to her!” alex stared at the floor

“Shut up! look, she’s cool but I don’t see why someone like her would go for someone like me…”

“Aww. Has Alex Day, ladies man of YouTube, lost his confidence?” Liam dances around, making us all laugh.

“OH. MY. GOD! CHARLIEEEEEE!!” we hear a shrill voice scream, Charlie looks panicked and sighs, turning around

“Hello!” he puts a smile on his face as the girls scream

-later on, cara’s POV-

We were sta on the bench, just chatting about nothing when a voice made me jump

“hey there, looks like we’re the late ones now!” I stood up and spun round to face alex, who was closer than I thought

“hey there!” He pulls me into a hug and spins me round, laughing

“Well then, when these two lovebirds-ow-stop being all over each other, we have one thing left to decide…” I hit him in the middle of the sentence, I’m stronger than I look. We all look at him, Alex releases me but I see Charlie and Chloe holding hands

“Where do we go?”

Me, Chloe and Macy are waiting. We decided to meet after the Boys got a call from Tom

“Urm, Tom needs our help. Something to do with hair dye” Liam looks round at us all, hanging up his phone.

They leave and promise to be back soon

Waiting… and waiting… and waiting…

“Cara? Shall we go? We’ve been here for twenty minutes” I couldn’t show the dissapointment I was feeling at the thought of not seeing Alex “and I’m hungry!”

I needed to see Alex again, who knows when I’ll get another chance! i shrug, not wanting to look to desperate “I don’t mind. Why don’t we just wait another ten minutes? Maybe they’re just running late?”

Chloe turned to face me “Don’t you have Alex’s number?” I’D FORGOTTEN THAT!!

I dived my hand into my bag and found my phone

I felt stupid. “…Six missed calls from Alex… oops.” Chloe looked at me then burst out laughing, an infectious laugh

(Bold is Alex)

“Hello?”

“Hey there, thanks for answering!”

“I’m sorry my phone was on silent!”

“are you still waiting?”

“Oh, yeah, we’re still here waiting… Where are you?!”

“Erm, lets jsut say Tom had an accident with some hair dye and doesn’t want to be seen! can you give me and Charlie ten to come and get you?”

“Okay then, yeah sure, Alright then! Bye!”

I walked back over to Chloe, smiling form hearing Alex’s voice “Alex said if we wait another ten minutes he and Charliewill come and get us, Tom had a little accident with some hair bdye and doesn’t want to come outside!”

Five minutes later and there were two figures running towards us and the next thing I knew I was being held round the waist and lifted off the floor! since I could see Charlie I knew it must’ve been Alex

“ALEX! PUT ME DOWN!” I was laughing too hard to talk properly, he chuckled and put me down. the world began to spin but Alex caught me before I fell.

“Wait long?” I shrug at him and his face falls, i tap him on the nose and laugh

“Don’t be silly, It was worth the wait!”

“Tea at ours guys?” I turned back to find Charlie with Macy on his back, I laughed and nodded.

We came to a house after a short walk which was spent mostly with Alex saying ‘SORRY!’ as he nearly pushed me into a bush, I couldn’t stop laughing though!

“Welcome!” Alex and Charlie cried simultaneously. Alex swung his arms out and nearly hit me again

“Sor-” I looked at him and he shut up. 

“Welcome, to the nericoollike location!” Alex whispered in my ear as he let Charlie, Macy and Chloe in, I could feel the blush on my cheeks grow…

Chapter 3

Alex opens the door and takes my hand

“HELLO OTHER EARTH BEINGS! ME, CHARLIEBURG AND THE LOVELY LADIES HAVE ARRIVED!” I laugh loudly as Alex pulls me towards a sofa. He falls down as Ed, Tom and Liam walk in, I see flecks of hair dye on Toms face and laugh slightly again. The other three tell us they’re going to the shop to see if they can fix the ‘Hair Dye incident’ We say our goodbyes and Charlie shows Chloe around the house. I’m still standing, but when Alex pats the sofa next to him, I instinctively fall next to him and cuddle up.

“Sopio?” He stares at me and I stare back, not really understanding the question. he laughs and ruffles my hair slightly “Do you want to play Sopio?” I nod eargerly but then realise

“I don’t know how to play!” Alex looks shocked and spends the next hour explaining the rules to me, I nod along, understanding.

When the others walk in, Liam with Macy on his back, We’re sat on the floor, setting out the sopio cards.

“Hey you two!”Ed laughs as we jump, they all surround the table, excluding Macy who’s run off somewhere.

We spend the next few hours playing Sopio, Chloe and Charlie are nowhere to be seen, but to be honest they kind of slipped my mind. I really got to know the other boys, but none more than Alex!

I was falling for him harder each day.

Ed and Liam look tired, Tom already went home

“Guys, we’re gonna head off, night, see you later new matie!” Ed speaks quitely as not to wake the sleeping Macy on the Sofa. I give them both hugs and stand awkwardly in the doorway.

“Don’t even think about leaving” Alex appears behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist.

I pretend to be annoyed but can’t keep the smile from my face “Fine!” I turn around to face him, closer than we thought.

The next thing I know or lips collide, and my world explodes in a daze of fireworks, magic and love!

(that. was incredibly cheesy…)

—- the Next Day—-

“I can’t remember ever fall for someone so fast!” I laugh to Chloe, as we sit at the table, me stuffing my face with digestive biscuits. Charlie [;aces a mug of tea in front of us both as Alex walks in, his hair messy and he couldn’t look more adorable!

“Where were you two last night!?” Alex asks, looking at Chloe and Charlie, I nod in agreement

“Talking, you two?” Charlie raises a suggestive eyebrow at Alex, causing both me and Chloe to laugh, Macy joins in though I’m sure she doesn’t understand!

“Please Charlieburg, there are ladies and small children within hearing range! We did not do that which you are suggesting, but played Sopio and spoke for most of the night!”

“And the posh voice was used because…?” I look at him and we burst out laughing!

we arrange woth Ed and Liam to go and show Chloe and Macy all the big sights around london.

When we get back from my house, showered and changed the boys are looking much more awake.

“Hey!” Alex throws his arms around me and then kisses me shyly

“TOLD YOU HE LIKED YOU!” Ed yells triumphantly, laughing.

We all have cameras, and Alex decides to make a video.

“Actually, before I start filming can I ask you something?” he’s looking at me, so I nod. he takes a breath ”Well, forgive me if I sound like a massive twat, but well. We’ve only known each other a day but will you be my girlfriend? It’s okay if you say n-” I cut him off by kissing him on the lips.

“Yes please” I smile at him as he pulls out his camera, we’re standing by the river Themes.

“Hello youtube, this is Alex! as you can see from my face!. ove there we have-WAVE BITCHES- Charlie, Ed, Liam, our new freinds Chloe, Macy and” He pauses, swivelling the camera to face me “My new girlfriend Cara! She’s amazing!” I feel my pale cheeks blush and hide behind my yellow-blonde hair.

“Don’t hide Cara! c’mon! let us see those kick-ass green eyes of yours!” I look up and smirk, right as a pigeon flies above me, leaving a train of… gunk… on my shoulder. I stare at Alex, everyone is silent for a few moments, then I burst out laughing, tying my hair up to make sure it dsoesn’t go in the bird poop.

we walk around showing Macy and Chloe the sights, Alex filming, Ed and Liam doing the same. I run off suddenly, taking them by surprise as I dart into the distance

-Alex’s POV-

“ICE-CREAM! ICE-CREAM!” there’s a shout in the distance, it’s Cara, we all laugh

“I swear that girl is about 5!” Chloe laughs as Cara walks back, holding a Mr Bubble

I kiss her lightly on the lips, aware of the cameras “yummy! Blue!” she ;laughs and takes another bite.

The others are all preoccupied watching the London Eye so I take Cara’s hand

“Wanna get outta here?” She inks at me and we run off, the others not looking back

“This is so awesome!” I look at her as we come to a hault

“What?” I ask, she wraps her arms around my neck

“You” She laughs

Chapter 4

We sit on a grassy bank just talking about everything

“Cara, I don’t even know your last name, what you do, how old you are!” She laughs

“Brunnen, Uni, 19!” I nod, thankful she’s not too young!

“what do you study?” She smiles an amazing smile at me,her freckles shining in the sun.

“I study chemistry, music and psychology. It’s pretty cool but I don’t really know what I want to do yet” she looks thoughtful

“Well, do you have a job?” she nods and smiles at me “What job?” 

“I work in a cafe and I model occasionally!” I can see why, she’s got the figure for sure. although anyone can model! She’s stunning and I can’t believe someone like her would go for someone like me!

“Any old boyfriends?” She shakes her head “Wait, you’re a model but you haven’t had a boyfriend?” she shakes her head again “what? ever?”

“Nope, never. that kiss you gave me was my first. I’m more like a mate to most boys. that and they know I can kick their arses if need-be” She hides behind her hair, a blush creeping onto her cheeks.

“Really? I don’t see why no boy would go for you!”

“Well, I play football all the time, I do martial arts and I just never really liked anything girly. I didn’t care about hair or make-up or clothes! I was just… one of the boys!”

We talk for another 5 minutes before my phone interrupts. Liam.

I let it ring until I hear a voice ring out from my pocket “Alex, sice you’re not answering I’ll assume you’re… busy” we hear him chuckle “Anyways, we’re all at McDonalds by the river. join us when you can!”

Cara chuckles and stands up “Cmon, lets go!” she grabs my hand and pulls me up with ease. we walk the ten minutes to McDonalds, laughing loudly.

“Look who showed up!” A voice cries out, causing us to turn around in the almost empty shop. Cara laughs and jogs over, I follow

“I see you got my message?” Liam winks suggestively. Cara laughs and flicks a chip, stolen from Charlie, at him.

We all sit around talking, and end up having a chip fight.

-Cara’s POV-

Ed stands and says “I’ve gotta go! bye!” he waves at us all and wanders away, shouting goodbyes.

“Actually guys, I’m going to” Macy’s face falls as Liam speaks. “Sorry Mace! I have to go! I’ll see you soon!” he hugs her tightly, a bond I don’t think any of us expected.

“She’s gonna be heartbroken when he leaves for Scotland” I think to myself silently.

“Movie at ours?” Alex takes my hand as I realise the others are all stood up.

I nod, “Sure” I smile at them all but my mind keeps wandering…

“Hey Cara!” Alex smiles at me, pulling me into a hug.

“Hey!” I yawn, stretching. It’s only 9am and I’ve just woken up

“Sleep well?” I nod at Alex as he slides a cup of tea across the table at me

“Yeah, your bed is surprisingly comfortable!”

“Wow, how many girls have said that?” Ed laughs behind me, I gently hit him, laughing.

“Shut up you idiot!” he laughs and walks over to the counter

“Hey, Cara, can I speak to you?” Alex takes my hand, his eyes twinkling slightly. God I love that face.

He leads me to another room, “I just wanted to say that I think we should go on a proper date! if you want…” I kiss his cheek, I may’ve only known him a few days but I’ve really fallen for him!

- A few hours later-

“Where shall we go then Girlfriend?” Alex pulls me close to him and kisses me softly. 

“Up to you Mr. Day! I just have to speak to Chloe quick, any idea where she is?”

“With Charlie in his room” A voice rings out from behind me, I turn to see Liam playing the Wii with Macy

“Kay, thankyou and I’ll be right back!” I walk out the room and up the stairs, my Converse laces trailing.

“Chloe! Charlieburg! Where art thou?” I stop outside a room and listen. I hear muffled voices, talking quietly and I’m not sure what they’re saying.

I give up and go back downstairs, skipping with excitement! My first date! My first Boyfriend! and it’s Alex-Freaking-Day!

We go to a lovely little Restaurant called Fire and Stone. We really get to know each other over our Pizza!

“So, I know you like Chameleon Circuit, but what other music do you listen to?” I have to think, I listen to a lot of different types of music!

“Urm, Pendulum, Prodigy, Muse but then you get the other side of me! Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus!” He laughs at me and I laugh back.

“Can I get you anything else?” A young waitress bounces over, Alex shakes his head and we pay.

We laugh the entire ride home about nothing!

“I had an amazing time! Best first date EVER!” He pulls me into a hug and kisses the top of my head

“So, you coming in or…?” Alex winks at me suggestively

“Only if I get to kick your arse at Wii Bowling!” he opens the door and I turn to walk in but he grabs my arm.

He kisses me on the lips, my arms wrap around his neck and his arms tighten around my waist “You’re so amazing” his eyes shine

“Less talk, more kiss!” I kiss him firmly.

eventually we walk inside.

that night we curl up on the sofa and fall asleep to Toy Story 3.

It’s perfect!

I wake up in a bed. I look around and for a moment I forget not only where I am but who I am! I look at the clock, 3am. I feel someone breathing under my left arm, thrown across a stomach. Alex lies asleep next to me, looking adorable. I sigh contentedly and lay my head back on his chest, feeling an arm tighten protectively round me.

I’m soon ripped from the dream I’m having by a knock on the door. (the dream was all about me and The Doctor, we were unicorns, need i say more?)

*knock-knock-knock* “Cara?” *knock-knock-knock* “Cara?” *knock-knock-knock* “Cara?” I hear Chloe’s voice eco slightly as Alex stirs beside me. When I stand up I look at the clock, 9am.

“Chlo? what’s happening?” Alex wraps an arm around my waist and kisses my cheek, his hair all over the place. Never has there been a more adorable thing!

“Nice bedhead Alex!” Chloe grabs my wrist and pulls me downstairs, leaving Alex looking confused.

Chloe looked terrified as she thrust a note at me, I read it quickly, fear filling me.

“Does he know?” I could only just bring myself to speak. Chloe shook her head and I pulled her in for a hug, feeling protective of my best friend. “Hey, look, everything’s going to be okay, alright? Keep ringing him. We’ll get dressed and have a look for him okay?” I ran upstairs, into Alex’s room where he was combing his hair.

“Hey…” He kissed my cheek and a sudden wave of guilt hit me, but I couldn’t tell him, not yet “Erm, Me and Chloe are going to meet Charlie at starbucks, do you mind watching Macy?” Alex’s face filled with Joy

“Not at all, I love that girl!” I laughed and began to get dressed, realising only then that i hadn’t been home for 2 days!

I got dressed in 20 minutes and me and Alex walked downstairs

As we closed the door I heard a shout of ‘I WANT TO MAKE A TARDIS!’ and I heard alex laughing followed by “This is one great kid you’ve got Chloe!”

As we were walking I could see the fear evident on her face.

“So Alex knows nothing of what’s going on?” Chloes voice shook slightly, it was a cold morning, the sun only just risen.

“Yupp, he think’s were meet Charlie at Starbucks. I thought you might not want him to know?” Suddenly Chloe threw her arms around me with such force I nearly fell off the pavement!

“HEY!” I exclaimed, getting a weird look from a passing man. “What’s the hug for!?” Chloe shrugged

“Do I need a reason to hug my best friend?” I pretended to consider this “NOPE!”

Chloe stood up straight and I liked our arms

“If you must know, it’s because you’re an amazing best friend and I’m so grateful for all you’ve done for me, and I’m a cow, for not saying more often.” It was barely more than a mumble, but I heard it.

“Awwww, you’re getting sentimental in your old age Chlo!” I couldn’t stop myself from laughing!

“HEY! I’m only two years older than you! Respect your elders and all that!”

We continued chatting until we reached the City Centre. There stood Harry, Chloe tensed beside me.

He looked taller, his hair had gotten darker. I heard Chloe gasp slightly and follwed her gaze.

Charlie was lying on the floor. A trickle of red had escaped his nose, Chloe hunched over and I thought she would vomit. we walked closer, I was scared, but no doubt Chloe needed more support.

Harry had a smirk on his face. He was just asking for it now.

I couldn’t do anything as Chloe approached him, the crowds had parted us and, as Chloe was a bit shorter than me, I could only just see her. But I couldn’t hear what she was saying.

An opening in the crowd and I darted through, only just making myself not punch Harry.

I felt a single tear escape, wiping it away. I had to be strong for Chloe. She was the only reason I was here today.

She stood and threw her arms around me.

I couldn’t take in what she said, it wasn’t true. “It’s all my fault Cara, I’m such a bad girlfriend. I couldn’t even tell him that i had a creepy-ex-boyfriend-stalker!” Chloe suddenly sunk to the floor, intentionally or not I couldn’t say. I sat down next to her, harry interrupted my thoughts.

“Creepy-ex-boyfriend-stalker? Is that what you see me as Chloe?” Harry was inches from us, the only reason I didn’t punch him is because I knew it would worsen things.

“Harry, I left you. you know exactly why I did and you know damn-well what you’ve done to earn the status of creepy-ex-boyfriend-stalker” she turned to face me again. “Why did you come here Harry? to ruin my life for a second time? to destroy the one thing that made me happy?” That hurt, I risked a glace at Chloe, she smiled back weakly and pointed at me “You of course.” I zoned out for the nest bot of the conversation, unable to take my eyes of Charlie. He lay, pale and wounded. looking almost like a statue, looking like… someone else.

“For fuck’s sake Chloe! he only has a broken nose and a broken arm. That’s not much damage!” Okay. I’m gonna kill him.

I stood, and ran at him, being just as tall, if not taller, than he was. But, physically, he was stronger. He pushed me back, I felt something catch me.

A tall-ish man, who had wavy blonde hair grabbed my hand, “Oh my gosh I am so sorry!” he pulled me up “Are you okay? Are you hurt? Are- What the hell? why is Alex’s friend Charlie on the floor? is he okay?” I turned to face Chloe, suddenly confused. 

“Do you know him?” I mouthed, she shook her head.

I stood and talked to this boy, about 22. His name was Adam, Adam West. Family guy popped into my brain.

I told him what the situation was and he nodded along, pulling out his phone to call an ambulance.

Adam And I went on a bus, I phone Alex on the way and explained. It was a long Chat, concluding with ‘I’ll bring Macy and We’ll be there as soon as possible.’

We’re sat on the bus, Me and Adam. We’re joined shortly by Macy and Alex.

“What happened?” Alex looks terrified

“Well, Charlie-” I tell him everything, not about Chloe’s past, But about what’s happened.

“Shit.” Alex says simply. He looks at Adam “Hi Adam, I see you two met?” We sit and talk all the way to the hospital. About Charlie, and Harry. We also talk about Me and Alex.

“So, how long’ve you known each other?” We didn’t mention that we were dating, didn’t think it relevant.

“Urm, a month? at most!” I look at Alex and we both laugh, Macy looks tired and has blue paint splattered around her face and arms, as does Alex.

We arrive at the hospital and Alex goes to speak to the front desk, Macy grabs my arm

“Cara, is Mummy okay?” I hold her close

“Of course Mace, Your daddy wasn’t very nice and he hurt Charlie. Your daddy, he wasn’t very nice. But when you see him, don’t be worried, he loves you with all his heart. Okay Mace?” She looks at me, her face crumpled in worry

“Don’t you worry your pretty little head about it Mace, nothing will happen” I kiss her forehead as Alex and Adam walk over.

“This way.” I pull Macy up on my hip as Alex laces our hands together. We step into the lift and wait.

We walk down a corridor and I feel Alex’s grip tighten, he’s worried, you can tell.

We walk in and I see something that churns my stomach. I grip Alex’s hand tightly.

Harry is kissing Chloe, roughly. A look of disgust on her face as she pushes him away after Alex coughs uncomfortably.

“I have a plan.” Macy whispers to me “Let me down” I set her on the floor and she walks over to Chloe.

“Hey Macy. Hey babygirl, come give your daddy a hug, huh?” I was shocked

“Mommy, can I have a drink please?”

Chloe mumbled something, but I wasn’t really listening.

“Can I see Daddy?” The question brought me away from my thoughts as I shook my head at Chloe. She patted Macy on the head, giving her consent.

“I want to give you a surprise Daddy.” I didn’t see what was happening. I just saw the look on Alex’s face, he looked just as confused as me.

“I’m ready baby, what is it?” I looked over to see Harry with his hands over his eyes, smiling. I saw Macy wink at Chloe and stand on her toes.

She open the can of Coke and poured it on Harry’s lap!

I gasped happily.

“Surprise Daddy. That’s for hurting Mommy”

“What the actual fuck?” Alex and Adam sprung into action and grabbed Harry’s shoulders pulling him out the room.

I looked Alex in the eyes, I couldn’t help but melt a little “Who knew Macy was such a Badass?”

“Good baby, My clever little Macy! C’mon Cara, Join the hug!” I bounded over and threw my arms around them.

That’s when the Doctor walked out Charlie’s room…

His face didn’t look happy…

-Alex’s POV-

“Hey Alex, can I talk to you quick?” Adam muttered, and assuming it was about Charlie I agreed.

We walked round the corner and suddenly Adam stopped, looking at the floor.

“What the fuck is going on?” I thought to myself as I turned to face him.

I was suddenly thrust against the wall as his lips crashed into mine.

I heard Cara gasp and I pushed Adam off me, I stared angrily at him.

“Cara!” she just ran, she couldn’t hear me. “WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM ADAM? I HAVE A FUCKING GIRLFRIEND!” I nearly punched him.

“Alex, C’mon-” I cut him off

“SAVE IT ADAM. I HAVE TO SAVE MY RELATIONSHIP. THANKS TO YOU IT’S ALL FUCKED UP. THE ONLY GOOD RELATIONSHIP I’VE EVER HAD. THANKS SO FUCKING MUCH” I ran off and looked round the corner, I saw a figure slumped against the wall.

“Cara, please” I crouched down in front of her, placing my hand on her knee.

“You could’ve told me Alex.” She can’t meet my eyes.

“Cara, I’m not gay! He kissed me.” She still won’t meet my eyes.

“Well, you seemed to be enjoying it. When I walked round the corner and saw you… embracing each other” She looked thoughtful as she spoke, thinking about each word as she spoke.

-Cara’s POV-

I ran round the corner, I could hear Alex shouting something. I felt so sick, I had to slump against the wall. I slid down. I couldn’t cry.

I thought about the fact that he’d lied, He should’ve told me, I shouldn’t of gotten my hopes up…

-Alex’s POV-

Cara finally looked me in the eyes.

“Alex,how can I believe you?” Adam appeared behind me as Cara spoke.

“Alex. I want to explain.” I looked Cara in the eyes, the stood and turned to Adam. He once again led me around the corner

Then, he did something that made me burn with anger.

He kissed me, again. This time, though, he was too strong for me to push off, he was taller than me and stronger too.

I managed to pull away and, as he was caught off guard, “WHAT. THE. FUCK. IS WRONG WITH YOU?” I saw Cara, stood to the side of us. Anger flooded through me.

I walked over to her, looking into her eyes, A tear was forming in the corner of her right eye.

“Cara, please?” I could feel a tear forming, I really, REALLY, liked this girl. I couldn’t stand the thought of losing her.

Adam grabbed my shoulder and I spun round, Filled with hatred. I punched him in the face and he staggered back.

“Cara. believe me. How can I prove…” I was completely lost for words as she turned and walked away, tears falling from her eyes. I turned to Adam.

“You’ll run if you know what’s good for you.”

He turned and ran, blood dripping slowly from his nose.

-Cara’s POV-

I turned and Ran. I found Chloe, but by then I was sobbing.

“Alex, and-and Adam, kissing…” I could barely mke the words out as I hugged her tightly. She held me tightly, ‘ssh-ing’ in my ear.

“Calm, What happened?” I took a deep breath and picked Macy up.

“I, I saw Alex and Adam kissing, twice and-and” I explained everything.

“I love you.” A voice from behind me said.

I turned.

Alex.

“What?” I stuttered, a few moments had passed in silence.

“I… I said I love you” Alex said, looking into my eyes.

“A-Alex, we’ve…” I was going to say that we’d only known each other 2 months but then something clicked “Alex, look, I believe what happened with Adam is down to him. And I know we’ve only known each other, what? Two months? But I love you too, I really do.” I looked up and him, smiling shyly. Before I could even think he grabbed me and pulled me into a hug, the tightest hug ever!

“ALEX! I know that was the first time we’ve said that too each other! and I know you’re happy but please stop SQUISHING MY RIBS!” He let me go and I began to laugh, interrupted by a kiss.

“I love you!” Alex beamed at me, linking our hands and playing with them.

“I love you too!” I was about to kiss him when we heard a femal voice behind us

“Charlie’s awake now, but he’s on some strong pain medication so he may be a bit out if it. I think it’s best to see him one at a time.” She smiled at us and walked away.

Alex went first while I sat and fan-girled with Chloe and Macy, then those two went in so I sat and tried to not let me previous fan-girling show whilst I spoke with Alex.

They walked out and I walked into Charlies room.

“Hey Charlieburg, how’re you doing?” I sat down on the edge of his bed

“Been a bit better but I can’t really complain, I’m allowed home tomorrow!” He smiled his signiture smile at me and I could see what Chloe saw in him.

“How is it you’re not even remotely affected by this, or at least not showing it?” I looked at him curiously, but he just shrugged. His eyes began to droop so I let him sleep.

“Sleep well Charlieburg” I smiled and stood, walking out the room.

-The next day-

Me, Chloe and Macy waited nervously at Casa De Cherimon for Alex and Charlies return

“I hope he’s okay… his nose looked pretty bad” Chloe spoke softly, worrying.

“He seemed okay yesterday Chlo, I’m sure he’ll be fine” I smiled weakly at her. She knew something was on my mind, she knew me so well.

“What’s wrong Cara?” She frowned at me, but I shook my head in return not wanting to worry her further.

She opened her mouth to speak when we heard ‘hello ladies! me and the partly broken Charliebot are back from the mechanics!’

I laughed and stood up, welcomed by Alex kissing me softly on the lips “Hi” I smiled up at him.

“Hi” He smiled back, I turned around to face Charlie who opened one arm for a hug, his one good arm.

I awkwardly hugged him and we both laughed “Awkward hug is awkward!” I laughed, sitting down with Alex, who linked our hands.

I smiled, laughed and joked my way through an entire day, my worries never leaving my mind. I decided that ignoring them was the best thing to do.

That night, I sat on Alexs bed, along side him, we were watching some random TV show

“Everything okay babe?” His eyes sparkled, dotted with worry.

I nodded “Yeah, fine!” I smiled at him, I could tell he didn’t believe me but he didn’t push it. We let the focus go back to the TV show, though I never felt Alex’s eyes leave me.

I woke up, and I was momentarily confused where I was until I saw Alex asleep next to me. I detangled myself from his arms, carefully trying not to wake him.

I walked downstairs to find Charlie sat at his kitchen table, alone.

“Hey.” I said simply, walking into the kitchen and sitting opposite him.

“Hey, couldn’t sleep either, eh?” I looked at the clock, 5am.

“No, too much stuff going on in here” I tapped the side of my skull lightly.

“Know the feeling. So Alex said that you two have said the three big words eh?” I smiled slightly, recurring the moment.

“Yep.” I couldn’t really think of anything to say. It wasn’t an awkward silence, just… silent.

“What’s wrong?” I looked away from the toaster, which is what I was apparently staring at, to Charlie.

“Noth-” Charlie cut me off,

“Don’t lie Cara! it’s blatant something’s wrong!” I stared at the table, unsure of what to do now. ”You can tell me y’know Cara? I won’t say anything to anyone if you don’t want me to…” He reached cross the table with his one good hand and placed it upon my hands.

I wouldn’t tell him everything, just the first of my worries, he’d find out the rest at some point…

“It’s just… I’ve never been in a relationship before and I don’t… Don’t know if it’s going to fast, or not fast enough. This is all completely new to me…” Charlie looked a bit taken aback “What?”

“You’ve never been in a relationship before? ever?” I shook my head “I just find that a bit hard to believe! I mean, you’re a model who can kick arse!” I laughed at him, looking up and meeting his eyes. I smiled at him and he smiled back.

“Thanks Charlie” I smiled again after letting my face fall

He nodded “anything else in that strange mind of yours?” He raised an eyebrow quizzically

“Nope!” I lied smoothly. He nodded, believing me.

As he turned away to turn the kettle on, I let the smile fall from my face as the pain rushed back. I needed Chloe, soon. But it’d be hours before she woke up

‘5:45am’ I groaned quietly and laid my head on the table in frustration. 

It’s gonna be a long couple of hours…

My eyes flickered open as someones lips made contact with my cheek.

I lifted my head and looked around “Hi” Alex smiled at me simply.I looked up and saw Charlie smirking at me, I looked at him confusedly ”You fell asleep at the table,I didn’t want to wake you” Charlie smiled at me sympathetically.

I nodded as Alex sat down, I grabbed a piece of toast off his plate, Taking a bite and looking cheekily at Alex who had a false look of shock on his face.

“MY TOAST!” I laugh and the pain rushes back as Chloe walks into the room yawning.

“Chloe, Can I speak to you quick?” I grab her wrist before she can answer, dragging her out the room. Macy walks past us and I hear her ask ‘Is Liam coming over today?’ But I shut Alex’s door before we hera her answer.

“What’s up Car?” I’m pacing as she sits warily on the bed.

“I HAVE TO TELL HIM” The words fall from my mouth, I take a deep breath and start again “I have to tell him Chlo.”

She raises an eyebrow in confusion “What about?”

I gulp “When it happened… That one night…” She leaps up and throws her arms around me, like a protective mother. Well, to me she pretty much is.

“Car, You don’t have to tell him anything, only when you’re ready.” I look her in the eyes, the back of my eyes bristling with tears.

“How do I know I can be that vulnerable? You’re the only one who knows, Chlo. How do I know he won’t just leave me open and let my heart break? How do I know that if I show him the vulnerable side then he won’t stay there to catch me when I fall?” She pulls me closer, comforting me quietly.

“Cara, You know as well as me, you can’t keep it from him forever if you want to last. But you don’t have to.” I sit down, feeling weak and vulnerable.

“I- I need to think for a minute…” Chloe hugs me and  leaves the room. I curl up into a ball.

I don’t know how long I stay like that, curled up, but soon I’m interrupted by a knock on the door. I can’t answer, my voice isn’t working. The door opens and Alex steps in, I don’t move.

“Cara? You’ve been here for two hours? Have you moved?” I can’t move. He crouches at the side of his bed. I’m lying on my side, he places a hand on my leg.

“Cara, what happened? I’m really worried. Chlo won’t tell us anything… You can talk to me you know that?” I nod feebly, unsure of what else to do. I cough slightly and try to sit up. It takes a while, and a lot of stretching as I’ve stayed curled up for two hours.

When we’re both settled and lying side by side. I’m shaking, it’s hard to feel that vulnerable.

I clear my throat “Alex, I’m about to tell you my biggest secret, I trust you. But I need to know. Will you still be there to catch me when I fall? Vulnerable is only one way of putting what I’ll be if I tell you…” I can’t look him in the eyes, fearing the answer.

“Always. I’ll always catch you Cara. I love you” I look him in the eyes. The usual sparkle has disappeared, replaced by a look of fear.

I take a deep breath

“I was 12…”

“J-Just twelve years old. My brother was fifteen, just, He got a girlfriend. Charlotte. Charlotte was fourteen. We were really close, best friends, more like sisters. But she wasn’t like me. I was little, innocent, I thought smoking, drinking, drugs and things like that were just for losers. I liked to read, play Sims and I spent life with my head in a book. But Charlotte, she smoked, she loved to get drunk, she… she lied a lot.

She told me my brother was bulimic. That he was on drugs. That she’d had an abortion, with his baby. She not only changed my brother but she changed me. I started acting oddly, I didn’t see my friends much. She became clingy, constantly texting me and talking to me.” I trailed off… thinking. The pain was still not hitting me fully.

“She tried to get me to smoke, I refused. One day, we were christmas shopping and she told me we were going to the doctors. I didn’t know why. We went in and I had to stay in this waiting room. I didn’t know where I was, I’d never been there before.

Charlotte walked out the room after about half an hour, saying she had to take anti-depressants. I was only twelve but I knew what they were. We were friends for a few more months but during that time my mood, my demeanor changed. I became sullen, withdrawn and alone. I didn’t talk to anyone, or tell anyone my problems. I felt so alone. I wasn’t. My only escape was… well…” I sighed and let go of his hand, Pulling my the back of my t-shirt until my shoulders were showing, Scars lining them both. 

I heard Alex gasp. I showed him my wrists, normally covered  by bracelets and Scar-makeup. Make-up that was normally used for facial scarring.

“She phoned me one night, about midnight. Telling me that she was going to kill herself, I- I was just twelve, what was I meant to do? I just sat there, numb. She told me she was going to overdose… I was so scared. I was just a little girl, I should’t- I shouldn’t-” My voice was cut off by the sobs, escaping from my chest, my body convulsing.

“Shh, Shh, it’s okay…” Alex whispered into my hair, rocking me back and forth slightly.

“NO, No it’s not. She gave me depression, i couldn’t escape, I was trapped, alone and scared. Nobody knew, Nobody could help. I took out the fear on myself. I was so scared Alex, I was so scared” My voice hushed to a whisper.

“Hey, Hey, don’t worry. Why’s this all suddenly come rushing out?” He looked me in the eyes, his hazel orbs boring into mine.

I shakily sat up, Reaching over to my bag. I pulled out a newspaper article. He took it from my trembling hands, I wiped the tears of fear that fell from my eyes.

He looked at me. “Have you read this?” I shook my head no. I didn’t- Couldn’t- read past the name. “Shall I read it aloud?” He pulled me into him, I was lying on his chest, the tears still fell silently, gliding down my face. I nodded after hesitation.

“Charlotte Reah, 21, was found dead earlier this week. Police have confirmed that the cause of death was suicide. “Charlotte had been down for many years, but she was ggoing to get help. I never pictured this happening” said a family member…” Alex’s voice faded as my heartbeat filled my ears.

“Cara?” Alex pulled me out of the haze. I just sobbed, cuddling into his side.

“Alex?” I asked finally.

“Yes Cara?” His voice was soft, through the still air.

“Was it all my fault?” His grip tightens, his eyes serious.

“No, never.” A tear fell down his cheek.

“Could I have done anything to stop it?” His girl tightened still.

“No. She was very ill. It wasn’t up to you. You were so young, She should have known better than to lean on you. Cara” He kissed the top of my head as silence fell on the room. Nothing needed to be said anymore.

<Wow, okay, emotional. I want you to know, I said this came from experience. The part with the girlfriend, where she becomes clingy, and the phonecall where she tells Cara shes going to kill herself is ALL true. The part with the scars, the death and everything is fiction. I was twelve, two years later and I’ve not forgotten it…

-Alexs POV-

Cara’s breathing slowed as I held her as close as I could. We were lying on our sides on my bed. I could see her shaking and a tear fell down her face. I didn’t want to move, didn’t feel able.

“Alex?” I squeezed her waist, letting her know I was there. I could sense the panic in her voice.

“I’m here Cara, what’s up?” I heard her sigh. I wanted to know what was on her mind.

“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry” She began shaking a lot, I took my arms from round her waist and climbed off the bed. I kneeled down and brushed the hair off her face, her green eyes shining sadly as the tears fell.

“Don’t be. You have nothing to be sorry for.” She sat up and took a shaky breath in. “Cara, you couldn’t have done anything. It was not your fault.” She shook her head and a few more tears spilled out.

“But, I should have been there, I should have stopped her. I-I could have done something-” She sobbed and I felt a rush of pain fall over me.

I pulled her into my arms and let her use my shoulder to cry into.

She sits up and puts a smile on her face. “Right, that’s a lot better. Is it weird that I feel like laughing now?” This girl confuses me… but I love her!

“Cara…” I look into her eyes, the sad shine is gone and the mysterious twinkle is back. I laugh out loud, out of confusion “I bloody love you!” She smiles and puts her arms around my neck, nestling her head in the crook of my neck.

“Thankyou.” It was barely more than a whisper but I heard it.

I grabbed her hand and led her downstairs.

-2 weeks later, Cara’s POV-

I was lying on my stomach on the floor when Charlie stood up.

“Ow!” I twisted so I was facing him as his foot landed on my bed. “Sorry Cara!” He smiled at me and I forgave him instantly.

“Tis fine Charlieburg!” Alex sat down at my side when Chloe and Charlie left the room.

“Hey Caraburg” I laughed at my new nickname “Aww, it doesn’t work with my name!” Alexburg… he was right.

“I like Alex anyway” He smiled down at me and my heart melted. I sat up to face him, crossing my legs. “How long’ve we been together Alex?” He looked thoughtful for a moment.

“Erm… I don’t actually know… I lose track of time when I’m with you” I couldn’t help but blush and bite my lip.

“I don’t even know how long we’ve been together! It doesn’t matter though, We’re happy. Right?” I looked up at Alex from under my fringe.

“Of course! Well. I am, are you?” I nodded as manically as I could. I leaned in and kissed him. He wrapped his arms around my back and I wrapped my arms around his neck.

Suddenly he pulled away. “Not yet Cara” I laughed, knowing what he meant.  ”Alex, I wasn’t implying anything!” He looked embarrassed and I couldn’t help but laugh at his adorable face “You’re too adorable for words!”

We opened up his Macbook and loaded YouTube. He clicked on the link for the video we had filmed that day in London. “Can we look at the comments?” He nodded and without another word clicked on the comments link.

“Wow she’s lucky!” Alex began reading the comments. “Wow What a-” He pulled a sheepish face and read the next comment. “He’s mine bitch! Just kidding, hope you two are happy together!” “They would have adorable kids” Alex threw his head back in laughter at that comment, I did the same. Charlie reappeared and gave us a quizzical look.

“Do I wanna know?” Alex re-read the comment and Charlie chuckled too.

“I MISS YOU!” I shouted down the phone to Cara, who was looking at a university. It was in Ireland though…

“I miss you too! but I have to say, Ireland is particularly lovely!” Chloe, Charlie, Macy, Liam and PJ were all sat in our living room, whilst I was sat on the kitchen island.

“God, Alex, GET SOME BALLS!” Liam shouted, I shot him a dirty look but smiled when I hear Cara giggle. 

“Liam’s there I’m guessing?” I nod, blush and answer her. ”Argh! I have to go, I have Music intro now.” I felt my face fall, I heard myself sigh. 

“Do you have to go? Why can’t you be here? I want a hug!” She laughed, 

“Yes, I have to go! I can’t be late for the first class, I’m in Ireland! It’s a bit far to give you a hug! Love you” 

“Love you too, don’t forget me!” 

“Alex. It’s one week! you managed for over twenty years without me! you can manage a week! Love you!” She hung up and I hopped off the counter.

“I miss Caraaaaaaa” I moaned, falling onto the sofa. PJ laughed, “You’re like a little love-sick puppy!” Everyone started teasing me and I rolled my eyes.

-Cara’s POV-

I hung up the phone and picked up my bag. I walked down the hall and across the campus. I walked into the hall and looked round, there weren’t many people there yet. I saw a group of boys talking, one of them turned around and I saw he was wearing an ‘I Look Better In Purple’ Tee. I looked down at my own tee and smiled. We matched!

One of his friends pointed over to me and I felt myself blush. I bit my lip and smiled as the boys beckoned me over. I walked over to them, “Hello” I resumed biting my lip

“Hey! I’m Jack, This is Ollie, Alex and” he pointed to the boy with the matching tee “Jesse” I smile at them all

“I’m Cara, it’s great to meet you all!” They all smiled at me and Jack pulled me into a hug

“Here in O’Irishtown we hug! That’s how we do things!” I laughed and laced my arms around his waist. Jesse was looking me up and down

“Do I know you from somewhere?” He flicked the dark brown hair from above his eyes, which were amazingly blue.

“Well, do you watch Nerimon on YouTube?” I saw him nod “I was in his video, when he introduced me as-“

“YOU’RE ALEX DAY’S GIRLFRIEND!” A female voice rung out from behind me, I jumped and spun round.

I spent the  few remaining minutes before the class started talking to various people about YouTubers.

The professor walked in, Jesse pulled me down into the seat next to him. Somehow, I understood everything that was said about Music Technology in that hour-long lecture. I had to correct the teacher at a few points as well.

“So, Cara, where do ya hail from?” Jesse said, as we sat down on the grass. The other three boys had wandered off to buy us food.

“I’m from London! I’m here for a kind of, ‘trial’ week!” Jesse nodded 

“yeah, I’m going on a trail week in London at the end of this week! I finish here and off to London, the same day you go home! Music Technology, I’ve always wanted to work at concerts” I nodded in agreement. My phone vibrated in my pocket ‘Hey, listen!’ Navi’s voice rang out from my pocket and I blushed. Jesse laughed loudly.

“Congratulations, you have discovered my inner nerd!”

-A days later-

I grabbed my bag, pulling it shut. Jesse and I sat in the Taxi, talking about London. Jesse was staying with his dad, who lived close to me.

We climbed on board the plane after waving a final goodbye to the boys.

-Alex’s POV-

I couldn’t stop jumping around, like a little kid. “Guysss!!!! I get to see Cara today!” We’re stood waiting for her to get off the plane, looking through the crowds of people filing off.

“CARA!” Macy ran off into the crowd and I soon saw Cara picking her up. It took all I had not to run over to her. I saw her talking to another boy, who looked about her age. They were laughing together and playfully pushing each other.

“Who’s that?” I muttered, furrowing my brow. (a/n yes, I know, it’s a weird term!)

“ALEX!” She dropped her bag and Macy then ran over to me. She hurled her arms around my neck and I picked her up, spinning her round and laughing. “GOD I MISSED YOU!” I set her down and kissed her, she pulled away after a moment, it just left me wanting more.

“Guys, this is Jesse! Jesse this is Charlie, Ed, Liam, PJ, Chloe who’s my best friend and Macy, her daughter and my amazing boyfriend Alex!” He said a hello to them all and I saw the smile on his face. “Jesse’s a major fanboy!” He hit me lightly on the arm.

-back home, Jesse’s at his dad’s-

I lie in Alex’s arms on his bed. I kiss him lightly on the lips and playfully pull away.

“Oh that’s not fair! You can’t just leave me wanting more!” I smile at his and kiss him again, firmer this time, not wanting to stop.

He pulls away from me. He’s leaning on his arm so he’s slightly above me, I’m lying back on the bed. He frowns.

“Cara… are you sure?” I nod and pull him into a kiss.

Gosh I missed that boy.

I yawn and roll over, my eyelids fluttering open. I look at the clock. 6:30am. I see Cara lying next to me, sleeping peacefully and smile. I stand up, pull on some clothes and walk round to her side of the bed.

“Caraburg?” She mumbles something “Cara?” I ask, louder.

“No! I don’t wanna ride the pony!” I laugh, very loudly, and she jumps

“YOU- YOU- YOU DON’T WANNA RIDE A PONY?!” She blushes but giggles, looking confused.

“I said that!?” I nod and she face-palms, I giggle and she gives me a suspicious look. “What?”

“Well. Did you know you talk in your sleep?” Her mouth falls open “You had a proper full blown conversation about slippers” I start laughing again and she hits me with a pillow, throwing me off balance. 

She climbs out of bed and I walk downstairs.

When she emerges, Liam gives us a look that says ‘I know what you did last night! ;)’ I roll my eyes as Cara falls into a seat next to PJ. They start talkign about something when Chloe emerges.

“Chloe!” Cara jumps up and pulls her into a hug. “I feel like we haven’t spoken for forever!”

“Where’s Macy?” Liam interrupts their conversation. “You and Mace haven’t been around much!”

“Oh, She’s upstairs, but I know! I’ve been really busy!” She pouts and Cara throws her arms around her. Macy charges into the room and into Liams arms, Charlie follows closely.

-Cara’s POV-

I leave Chloe, Charlie and Alex chatting and sit next to PJ on the sofa. “PJ! I feel like I haven’t introduced myself properly! I’m Cara!” He laughs and introduces himself.

“So, you live near here?” I nod “Really? I do too!” I laugh and tell him my address. His mouth falls open

“WE’RE NEIGHBORS!” I jump up and he follows

“YOU’RE TELLING ME I LIVE EXT DOOR TO MY FAVOURITE YOUTUBER?!” I hear three voices protest behind me.

“THIS IS EPIC!” He throws his arms around me. My phone vibrates in my pocket. I untangle myself from PJ and answer it.

“Hello?”

“Cara! It’s Jesse!”

“Jesse! Hey! You okay?”

“Yeah, I was wondering, Can you take me to Uni today? The course we’re taking starts in half an hour and I have no idea where to go!”

“Sure! We’re on the same course, only a few minutes away from Uni. Lemme get dressed and I’ll meet you.” I tell him where to meet me and tell the others the plan. I rush upstairs and change into Alex’s jeans and tee. I stole his American flag jeans and Map tee.

-Alex’s POV-

I frown as Cara runs upstairs. Chloe notices, “Alex? you okay?” She turns away from where Liam, Macy, Charlie and PJ are playing the Wii and sits next to me.

I sigh “Yeah, I guess I’m a bit jealous…” She smirks a little

“Jealous? Of who or what?” I sigh again

“Jesse…” She looks a bit surprised. 

“Really? Why?” I shrug.

“You tell me! They’re spending a lot of time together… What if something happened in Ireland?” Chloe chuckles, which surprises me.

“Oh Alex! You really think Cara would do that?” I shake my head “She really loves you Alex, She- I haven’t seen her this happy for, well, forever!” I smile at that “Besides, you’re the only one who’s clothes she’s wearing! not Jesse! Don’t worry about a thing!” I smile, properly.

“Thanks Chlo! I needed that!” Cara walks into the room, her bag over one shoulder. I can see her tattoo properly now. I see the others looking at her chest, and for a moment I’m worried. That is, of course, until I see what they’re looking at. “What’s on your collarbone?” She looks up.

“Oh, piercings. I have my collarbone pierced!” She laughs at our faces “My nose is done twice, my eyebrow, my lip, my collarbone and the back of my neck! Now, I have to go!” She Kisses me and then waves to everyone else.

-At Uni, Cara’s POV-

“Can anyone play any instruments? We can demo the soundcheck.” I raise my hand “What do you play?”

“Bass, acoustic and vocals.” The proffesor smiles at me. “Perfect! Let’s go! We can do a bass check, and a vocal check!”

I walk into the booth and pick up the bass. It’s different to my one, so it takes a minute before I get the rhythm. I play the bassline from Knights Of Cydonia by Muse, one of my favourite songs. I finish the demo and walk out. We have our own panel. I pull on the headphones and look at Jesse. “Me produecsta!” He laughs

“That’s the worst ‘Me Gusta’ parody so far!” I feign shock

“What about ‘Me Toasta’?!” We both burst out laughing, getting weird looks.

After the days lessons have finished I invite Jesse round to Alex and Charlies.

We arrive quickly, walking fast. I pull out my key and let us in. “Hey guys! It’s me and Jesse!” Alex runs into the doorway and tackles me into a hug.

“I fuckin’ missed you!” I laugh and he picks me up as I throw my arms around him.

“I missed you too Alex!” We walk into the living room.

“Pizza for dinner guys?” I look at Ed, who’s joined us, and nod. I’m starving!

We sped the next few hours sitting around and eating pizza, soon enough I fall asleep on the sofa, my head on Alex’s lap and my feet on Jesse’s lap. I leave the two boys chatting about guitars as my eyes start to close.
